The summer transfer window is officially open for Premier League clubs after it was decided that it was best for all parties if the window closed before the start of the new campaign.
Despite the small matter of a World Cup to be played in the middle of the summer, there’ll still be plenty of moves happening this summer as managers try to strengthen their squads to push for success next season.
We’ve taken a look at some big money moves, involving Premier League clubs, that could happen this year.
Eden Hazard to Real Madrid
Eden Hazard has admitted that he won’t sign a new deal at Chelsea until he sees which players the club bring in this summer. If the Belgian is unhappy with the club’s recruitment policy, he could decide to push for a move and Real Madrid are reportedly keen to sign him.
Jorginho to Manchester City
Manchester City swept the Premier League aside, amassing 100 points as they stormed to a famous title win. However, City’s next aim is Champions League success and as such, they’ll still look to add to their squad. Napoli’s Jorginho is supposedly their number one target.
Alex Sandro to Manchester United
Manchester United have put a lot of resources into finding a long-term left back but so far their efforts have been in vain. Therefore, Jose Mourinho is set to make a move to sign Juventus star Alex Sandro and the Brazilian is reportedly keen on a move to the Premier League.
Wilfried Zaha to Tottenham
Wilfried Zaha has admitted that he’s happy at Crystal Palace but he could still move this summer if a club, such as Tottenham, stump up a huge transfer fee.
Nabil Fekir to Liverpool
Liverpool score goals for fun but they lack squad depth and as such, they’re looking to bring in another star player. Reports in France claim that they’re interested in Lyon’s Nabil Fekir.
Gareth Bale to Manchester United
Gareth Bale’s time at Real Madrid looks to be coming to an end and a move back to the Premier League is on the cards. Not many clubs would have the resources to get him, but Manchester United certainly have the finances to do a deal.
Alvaro Morata to Juventus
Alvaro Morata’s first season at Chelsea has been decent but not exceptional and there are reports emerging from Italy which suggest that he’d like to make a move back to Juventus.
Toby Alderweireld to Manchester United/Chelsea
Toby Alderweireld is seemingly unhappy with Tottenham’s strict wage budget and could look to force a move this summer. Both Chelsea and Manchester United are keen to sign him if Tottenham do sanction a move.
Jean-Michael Seri to Arsenal
Arsenal are already in talks with the agent of Jean Michael Seri about a possible move. The Ivorian international would be a big updrade on anything Arsenal currently have in their midfield.
Anthony Martial to Juventus/PSG.
Anthony Martial is clearly a talented player but things don’t seem quite right for him at Manchester United and it looks like he could be on his way this summer. United will want to sell him abroad and both Juventus and PSG would be interested in him if they do allow him to leave.
