It’s been a more predictable Premier League season this time round. Following on from Leicester City title win a year ago, normal service has been resumed.

It was Antonio Conte who came out on top, taking Chelsea to the title in his first season in England. Tottenham ran the Blues close in second but ultimately lost out when Golden Boot winner Harry Kane was out injured for a crucial period and his goals could not be replaced.

Pep Guardiola came to England and finally discovered what a competitive league is all about, however, he still managed to guide Manchester City into third place. Despite Jurgen Klopp’s superiority over his main rivals, failure to beat the lesser teams saw the Red’s scrape into fourth place.

Serial FA Cup winner Arsene Wenger won the trophy for a record seventh time denying Chelsea the double but lost out on Champions League qualification for the first time in 21 years. Whilst Wenger’s ‘good friend’, and specialist in winning, Jose Mourinho put trophies back in the Manchester United cabinet.
